Portfolio January 2026 update
One step at the time... +15% YTD.
January has been highly political, with a lot of attention towards the United States and in particular Donald Trump. We’ve seen the dollar losing value like it did in most of 2025. It makes me think about making a shift in future investments for my portfolio.
I have lately been looking closer at businesses outside of the US, and I do believe there is great value to be found. The purpose of my portfolio updates is not to go over every company I own in the past month, but more a comment on the overall strategy. I started 2026 with a plan to change my portfolio to have a focus on undervalued businesses or businesses that could see a favorable future due to some specific catalyst. I am nowhere close to having made the changes I want to make. I believe that kind of portfolio strategy change is not something that can be done overnight.
The month of January for my portfolio
A quick comment on my portfolio before I comment on the coming months and possible changes I’m looking into. The portfolio is up over 15% so far this year, which is a fast start. Although most of this return comes from my now biggest position; Cessatech ($CESSA). Cessatech is up around 41% so far. The company is about to launch their product in the US, but still with no news on launch, I believe the next days up to a possible launch will be volatile.
I have made a few purchases including UBER 0.00%↑ and NVO 0.00%↑ . Uber has been trading sideways since the purchase and NVO 0.00%↑ is up around 10%. I have sold my position in VZ 0.00%↑ after a great earnings report. My reasoning is to chase stocks with bigger return possibility. VZ 0.00%↑ is a great dividend company. I still plan to keep my position in LULU 0.00%↑ . I still see great value here. You can check out my latest post on Lululemon here:
My worst performers have been $FMCC and $FNMA, my bet on privatizing the to mortgage giants. I might sell one off my positions to make a LEAPS investment which I will dive more into below.
The Coming month:
As I’m writing this, there is a lot of noise in the markets, with metals taking a big beating and Bitcoin also taking a hit. This could create future purchase opportunities. For now, I’m looking into my position in GME 0.00%↑ . I am looking into adding more to my position. At the same time, I’m looking into buying LEAPS on the stock to be able to add a bigger position in the future without laying out the cash at this time. Please check out Dr. Michael Burrys work on GME:
I will be looking to sell some of my ETF positions in the S&P 500. With this cash, I want to find new opportunities outside of the US.
I will spending sometime looking over many different companies trying to find the best opportunities. As always you can follow along for all the trades I will be making.

Quite interesting, what does Cessatech do? Any thesis already covered? will have a look!
